Relive Texas' colorful history at The Governors' Inn. Built in 1897, this Neoclassical Victorian Inn was restored to its former glory in 1993. Each guest room, named for a Texas Governor, is furnished with beautiful and tasteful antiques. You'll luxuriate in comfort and charm in this well-appointed mansion. Soak in a claw foot tub in your private bath. Relax in the parlor or on the wrap-around porch. Large trees shade the porches, which are complete with Victorian rockers and porch swings.
Every morning, a full breakfast will satisfy your appetite for fine food and good taste. Guests may treat themselves to the Blue Bell ice cream we keep stocked in all our inns' freezers.
Lying only a few blocks from the University of Texas, the State Capitol grounds, and all Austin has to offer, The Governors' Inn is perfect for business or pleasure.
